Product Description
This 25 GSM 195mm PP spunbond non woven fabric is made for 3 ply mask inner layer. It is used as the skin contact layer inside disposable 3 ply face masks.
Made with 100% virgin PP resin through our SS spunbond process. The fabric feels soft on the skin and is non allergic which makes it great for being used as the layer that touches your face. It will allow for a longer lasting mask due to its durability.
As stated above this fabric would be used as the 3rd layer in a 3 ply face mask. Directly under your face and touching the middle meltblown layer.
This layer will help keep moisture off of your face and allow for the mask to stay open when breathing. With our SS spunbond fabric you will get a stronger fabric that will not sag down onto your mouth.

Skin Contact Layer
With our finer deniers we can offer a smoother fabric that feels like a piece of cloth when touching your face.
Since we use a thermal bonding process there are no chemicals added to this fabric. So you can rest assured knowing there are no harmful substances that will touch your skin.
Higher Breathability
Because our spunbond process creates a open fabric it allows for higher breathability.
When making a face mask you want the mask to have low resistance when breathing through it. If the resistance is too high your customer will feel fatigued from wearing the mask.
Our 25GSM SS spunbond fabric will give you a low differential pressure that is ideal for mask manufacturing.
Bacterial Filtration Efficiency (BFE)
Although the middle layer of a 3 ply mask is what gives you a high BFE rating.
Our inner layer can also be used to achieve a BFE of over 95%.
Tensile Strength
By using a SS process we are able to give our customers a fabric that has higher strength then using a single beam.
Not only will this help your mask last longer but will also prevent it from ripping when you weld on the ear loops.
No Toxic Materials
We use 100% virgin PP resin to manufacture our medical grade spunbond fabric.
No recycled materials are used nor are any harmful binders.

What Does Each Layer Do?
Layer 1 (Top Layer)
The first layer will face outwards towards the world.
You want to use a hydrophobic fabric for this layer so that water will bead off the mask.
This layer is usually colored blue, green or white.
Layer 2 (Middle Layer)
The second layer will be your meltblown layer.
This is the layer that will filter out the particles from your mask.
It is important that you have a good middle layer in order for your mask to pass BFE tests.
Layer 3 (Bottom Layer)
The bottom layer is the layer that will touch the face.
Our 25GSM SS spunbond is ideal for this layer because it will absorb moisture off your face and keep your mask from caving in on yourself.
Once all 3 layers are placed together they are welded along the sides and then cut and put through the ear loop machine.
Mask Usage
Disposable 3 Ply Face Masks
As mentioned earlier this product is used as the third layer in a 3 ply face mask.
It can be used for any type of mask you are trying to produce.
Surgical Masks
Our 25GSM SS spunbond fabric can be used as the inner layer in surgical masks.
KN95/N95
You can also use this product as the inner layer on KN95 masks.

FAQ
Q: What's the difference between S, SS and SMS spunbond?
A: S is single beam process which will have less strength and consistency but is cheaper. SS is double beam (what we are selling here) it has higher strength and a more consistent web. Best used for mask inner and outer layer. SMS is Spunbond Meltblown Spunbond. It has all the benefits of spunbond and meltblown in one 3 layer nonwoven. Typically used for gowns and drapes. Most 3 ply mask makers will want to use the SS process for there inner and outer layer.
Q: How wide do I need my web?
A: Most 3 ply mask making machines will require 175mm wide web for a finished mask of 95mm once folded. Some require 195mm wide web for a 100mm finished mask width. 195mm (which is what were selling here) is one of the most popular web widths. Just check with your mask machine supplier for your web width needed. We can slit to any width.
Q: What GSM do you recommend for my mask inner layer?
A: 25GSM is normally what you will see for the inner layer of a face mask. Its a good weight to keep cost down while providing adequate strength. If you want your mask to feel a bit softer you can go up to 30GSM. You can go as low as 20GSM but the web will start to lose strength.
Q: Will this pass EN 14683 or ASTM F2100?
A: This product will be used as the inner layer of a 3 ply face mask. The entire mask will need to pass the above tests not just one layer. Our differential pressure and bfe will help with your overall mask result. We can provide test results for the fabric only.
Q: Is it skin friendly?
A: Yes. No chemicals are added during production of this nonwoven. Its made of 100% virgin pp. Our fabric has been tested for skin friendliness.
Q: Do you sell melt blown as well?
A: Yes we have melt blown lines as well. We can provide the middle layer for your mask. Also can supply the outer hydrophobic layer as well.
Q: What is the differential pressure for this product?
A: At 25GSM our fabric will have a differential pressure of less than 40Pa/cm2.
Q: Can you make this hydrophilic or hydrophobic?
A: Yes. The inner layer of a mask should be hydrophilic to help absorb sweat from your face. We can also make it hydrophobic if you would like.
Q: Do you have any certificates?
A: Yes we can provide SGS test report, COA and AZO free.
Q: What is your minimum order quantity?
A: 1000kg per color and spec. We can send out free sample to test on your machine if needed.
Q: How is your product packed?
A: Our medical grade spunbond comes on a cone with 2000meters on each roll. Wrapped in PE and bagged in a kraft paper or woven bag. Pallets are available as well.
Q: How long will it take to produce?
A: Depending on stock availability. Normally around 7-10 days. If your looking for different GSM width or color it can take 15-25 days.
